Orthodontic treatment

During the first visit orthodontist performs a comprehensive examination of the patient, which consists of medical and dental history, examination of the teeth and face. During the first meeting also photographic images of teeth and the patient’s face in profile and en face are carried out. The first meeting with orthodontist ends up with making impressions of the teeth and necessary to further diagnostic X-ray images.

Types of appliances
In depending on the age and possessed defects there are two types of appliances

Removable appliances, also known as functional, are used in patients during growth, where it is possible to focus, stimulating or inhibiting the growth potential of the young patient. Removable appliances are considered muscle power relay. They have to eliminate the power of the muscles which affects on the elements of the masticatory system. They are made of acrylic plates and a wire loop.

Permanent orthodontic appliances
Elements of Permanent orthodontic appliances:

Sapphire Crystal brackets – Radiance – transparent, made of a single crystal sapphire, with perfect aesthetic effect
Damon brackets – Self-ligating brackets(do not need the use of ligatures) so that the treatment process is shortened
Linqual brackets – resemble standard brackets, however, are sticked on the inner surfaces of teeth.
